Bob has an extensive background in management consulting and start-up companies. Prior to UCLA, Bob served in management roles at Tickets.com, idealab, and the Global Dryland Alliance. He also worked at the management consulting firm McKinsey&Company on projects for retail and internet companies, and non-profits. He has also been involved with Social Venture Partners, which empowers leaders of non-profits to make their organizations more effective and to best present their organization's mission in a compelling manner. Bob earned his bachelor's degree from Trinity College (CT) and a master’s from Columbia University School of Business.
Kate Glassman
Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives and New Programs
Kate joined the APB team as Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives and New Programs in July 2021. Before transitioning to UCLA, Kate worked at the UC Office of the President as Associate Director of UC’s Operating Budget. In this capacity, Kate oversaw the development of UC’s annual Budget for Current Operations and supported the implementation and advancement of UC’s strategic goals. Kate's interest in higher education finance stems from her belief that one of the most critical policy questions of our time is how the cost of public higher education should be balanced across stakeholders, including governments, individuals, and philanthropists. She holds both a bachelor's degree in Rhetoric and master's degree in Public Policy from UC Berkeley.
