Latin Honors

UCLA does not assign individual rankings to students. If you received Latin Honors, however, you have some indication of how you measure up against your peers.

For the College of Letters & Science, the School of the Arts and Architecture, the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of Theater, Film, and Television, if you graduate summa cum laude, you are in the top 5% of your class; magna cum laude, top 10%; cum laude, top 20%.

Students can consult their Degree Progress Reports or the Schedule of Classes for the most current calculations of Latin honors. For more information on Latin honors, see departmental guidelines in the UCLA General Catalog.
